TRUCK HITS, INJURES COLORADO STATE ROAD WORKER ON I-70

A tractor-trailer struck and critically injured a maintenance worker for the Colorado Department of Transportation in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 on Monday October 23. The worker was removing debris from the highway shoulder and was returning to his CDOT truck, parked on the shoulder of the highway near the westbound off-ramp at the Manila Road interchange, between Watkins and Bennett just south of Front Range Airport. The tractor-trailer driver was charged with careless driving.
