TEXAS TROOPER HAS CLOSE CALL ON TRAFFIC STOP

Trooper Sammy Bryant, of the Texas Department of Public Safety, has received the day off and is recovering from soreness after narrowly avoiding a direct hit from a truck Wednesday morning. Bryant pulled over another truck and trailer on U.S. Highway 82, near Bois D’arc Road, and as he spoke to the driver, an oncoming vehicle clipped the truck, knocking off its mirror. The officer made himself flip over the truck. He came down on his leg and injured his hips.
