FLORIDA TROOPER RECEIVES MINOR INJURIES IN CRASH
A trooper received minor injuries when his cruiser was hit by a dump truck. The crash occurred at 12:47 p.m. Saturday on the Palmetto Expressway, just south of NW 74th Street. A trooper was on the right shoulder of the south-bound lanes investigating a previous wreck when a dump truck pulling a trailer hit his cruiser.The driver of the dump truck was unable to stop and hit a concrete barrier on the right shoulder then smashed into the rear of the patrol car. The trooper was transported to Palmetto General Hospital with minor injuries. The patrol car was totaled.
