COLORADO OFFICER STRUCK BY CAR SHE TRIED TO PULL OVER
A Littleton police officer was struck by a car and injured Wednesday while conducting speed checks with a handheld laser gun. The female officer was on foot as she motioned a speeding vehicle to pull over near West Littleton Boulevard and South Greenwood Street. The 19-year-old driver of the car said she did not see the officer, police said. Although the driver was not intoxicated, she will probably be charged in the accident. The officer was taken to Swedish Medical Center and she is expected to make a full recovery.
