VIRGINIA DRIVER CHARGED WITH HIT-AND-RUN AFTER VEHICLE STRIKES OFFICER

A Norfolk, Virginia driver didn't take kindly to a police officer's order to hang up her cell phone and pay attention. She hit the officer with her car and drove off, police said. Erin Fox, 21, was arrested Wednesday shortly after the confrontation, which left the officer, Nancy Jean Goode, with cuts and bruises. Fox was charged with hit-and-run. This happened on September 7, 2006.
