SOUTH CAROLINA OFFICER HIT BY CAR ON COLLEGE ROAD
A hit and run on Carolina Beach Road in Wilmington on September 6 escalated into a chaotic scene on South College Road after a man tried to run down a deputy with his car. George Miller hit a car on Carolina Beach Road and then took off. No one was hurt. Miller then stopped at the B.P. Gas Station on South College Road. A Deputy spotted Miller's car and walked toward him. The deputy said that Miller stepped on the gas and hit him. He tried to hit him again, so the deputy fired his gun. Investigators say Miller turned around and hit another car. A patrol car eventually blocked him in and he was arrested. The deputy that was hit is being treated, but his injuries are not serious.
