MASSACHUSETTS OFFICER HIT WITH STOLEN SUV
A police officer fired three shots at a SUV in Greenwood Park yesterday morning, moments after the driver had struck him with the Chevy Trailblazer, police said.The officer, whose name was withheld by police, was struck in the left knee area, then he watched as the driver swerved around in the park several times before driving away.Police were still looking for the driver of the vehicle, which was stolen earlier Sunday night from a Spofford Road home. The truck was later found abandoned on Greenwood Street yesterday morning.
The officer was treated for injuries to his left leg and arm at a city hospital, and was out of work yesterday.
