CALIFORNIA DEPUTY HIT BY A FLEEING BANK ROBBER IN MALIBU

A sheriff's deputy was seriously injured today when a fleeing bank robbery suspect intentionally rammed the officer's motorcycle in Malibu. The deputy, whose name was withheld, was airlifted to UCLA Medical Center. The crash occurred around 11:20 a.m. in the 20000 block of Pacific Coast Highway.
