MAN RUNS OVER DECATUR, ALABAMA OFFICER WITH TRUCK

A Decatur police officer is recovering from her injuries after a man ran over her with a truck.Officer Marty McCaghren was called to Bud's Chevron on Spring Avenue around 10 a-m yesterday. After arriving McCaghren attempted to lead the suspect in a bad-check allegation to her patrol car. The man ran to his pickup truck.  The officer tried to pull him from the vehicle but the man hit her several times. He started the truck, dragging the officer 10 feet. She was thrown from the vehicle and run over by the driver-side tires.
