GEORGIA OFFICER STRUCK BY FLEEING MOTORIST

A Cumming Georgia police officer is recovering from a hand injury after he was struck by a pickup truck fleeing a traffic stop Thursday afternoon July 27. Officer James Poss is on medical leave for the next few days after suffering what authorities said was a "bad sprain" of his right hand when a driver sped toward him and the truck's windshield struck the officer's hand.
