CONNECTICUT STATE TROOPER STRUCK ON I-95

A state trooper was injured last night when his cruiser was struck by a vehicle on an I-95 exit ramp in East Haven. State police did not release the identities of the trooper and driver of the vehicle that crashed into the police car. Troopers and other responders were called to a two-car accident at the exit ramp before the crash occurred. The trooper suffered several non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital.
