TEXAS OFFICER HIT BY SUSPECTED STOLEN CARE

A police officer was injured when a car driven by a car theft suspect hit him. The man, a convicted felon, allegedly stole a car from the Planeta Rio Bar parking lot on Richmond Avenue at Hillcroft Street at about 1:30 a.m. Monday. Officials said the officer, who was directing traffic, heard club patrons yell, "He's stealing a car." The officer tried to stop the driver, but the driver hit him and kept going.
