MISSOURI POLICE OFFICER STRUCK BY SUSPECTED DRUNK DRIVER

An O'Fallon, Missouri police officer is recovering from minor injuries after being struck by a car. Police say that officer, whose name has not been released, was directing traffic Tuesday night at Tom Ginnever and TR Hughes Ballpark parking lot when he was struck.

The driver of the car, a 36-year-old O'Fallon resident was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and assault of a police officer.
