JAMAICAN POLICE OFFICER STRUCK BY MOTORCYCLE

Police Constable William Patterson, 32, of the Malvern Police Station in St Elizabeth, was been admitted to hospital with two broken legs after he was allegedly hit by a motorcycle while he was on duty.Officer cop was carrying out a spot-check along the Berlin main road when he saw a CB 600 motorcycle being driven without registration plates and signalled the rider to stop.Instead of stopping, the biker crashed into the cop. The officer was taken to the Black River Hospital where it was discovered that both legs were broken. He was later airlifted to a Kingston hospital.
