HUTCHINS, TEXAS OFFICER STRUCK BY SUV
A Hutchins, Texas police officer was injured and released from a hospital after he was struck by a SUV early Monday morning. After officer Anthony Langley made a traffic stop around 12:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Interstate 45, he returned to his patrol car and it wouldn't start. Officer Langley then went to the rear of the car to direct traffic around him and shortly thereafter, a woman driving a SUV plowed into the back of his car. As Officer Langley dove out of the way to avoid a direct hit, the SUV nicked him in one of his legs, Chief Griffin said. He was taken to Lancaster Memorial Hospital with minor bruises and was later released.
