PA OFFICER REAR-ENDED BY ALLEGED DRUNK DRIVER

A Philadelphia Police Officer was injured after being rear-ended by an alleged drunk early Thursday morning. Officials say the vehicle struck the officer from behind on the southbound shoulder of I-95 near the Girard exit shortly after midnight during a traffic stop.The officer and the driver of the striking vehicle were taken to area hospitals and were both treated and released for minor injuries.
