NY STATE TROOPER HIT BY TRACTOR-TRAILER

A New York state trooper is recovering from injuries he suffered when his cruiser was hit by an out-of-control tractor-trailer. Police report that trooper Derrick Cunningham had his car parked with lights flashing on the shoulder of the eastbound Thruway in the town of Wheatland when the incident occurred.

The rig, which was hauling two trailers, lost control and hit the police cruiser before rolling off the side of the road.
