INJURED NJ OFFICER HAS SURGERY

A Swedesboro police officer, hit by a minivan while directing traffic at a Woolwich Township vehicle crash Friday night, underwent surgery for his injuries. Ptl. Gregory Weber, 31, was hit by a Chrysler minivan driven by Terese Bennett, 48, of Swedesboro, at the intersection of Route 322 and Kings Highway, police said.
