CHP Office Hit While at Scene of Another Accident

A CHP officer investigating a freeway crash near Agua Dulce today suffered moderate injuries when his parked patrol car was hit by a pickup truck. The crash occurred about 7:20 a.m. on the northbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway at Escondido Canyon Road. Officer Bruce Turnn, 32, was airlifted to Huntington Memorial Hospital for treatment of head injuries and a fractured rib.
