CAR STRIKES DE CRUISER

Two Wilmington police officers were injured when a vehicle driven by a woman in her 20s plowed into the back of a patrol cruiser Tuesday night in the 1600 block of Pennsylvania Ave. The two officers were sitting in the cruiser, which had stopped, while they conferred with two people who had flagged them down. Investigators believe the woman in the other vehicle may have been drinking, he said. The two officers were taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital with neck and back pains.
