AUSTRALIAN POLICE WOMAN STRUCK BY MOTOR CAR

A 39-year-old man allegedly hit the RBT female officer with his four-wheel drive vehicle on the Captain Cook Highway.  The vehicle was speeding through the RBT site when it clipped the officer, police said. Police intercepted the driver at nearby Machan's Beach and charged him with failing to stop, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and driving while under the influence of alcohol
