MILITARY POLICE OFFICER STRUCK BY SUV

A military police officer at Fort Jackson, in Columbia, South Carolina was struck by an SUV driven by a man who claimed someone was chasing him.  The suspect's attorney later said the individual suffered from bipolar disorder and was off his medication.  The officer was not seriously injured.
