WOMAN GOING TO JAIL FOR HIT-AND-RUN OF SALISBURY COP
Tammy Sue Tawes of Salisbury MD woman was sentenced to 6 months jail time for accelerating towards and striking an officer conducting an unrelated traffic stop. Salisbury police officer James Veals was struck, suffering severe injuries that have required one knee to be reconstructed, with possible surgery still needed on his other knee, and jeopardizing Officer Veals' future police career.
