  Former co-workers from Hinesville to Savannah are remembering a Georgia Ports officer struck by a drunk driver months ago.

• Colorado: State trooper fatally hit on I-25 while investigating crash

  A female Colorado State Patrol trooper was fatally hit on Sunday night while investigating crash on southbound Interstate 25 south of Castle Rock, authorities said. The incident happened about 8:50 p.m. when the trooper was on the right shoulder of the interstate near mile marker 175 as she investigated a crash.

• Israel: Border Police officer hit in car-ramming attack dies of wounds

  A 19-year-old Border Policeman who was critically wounded in a vehicular attack last week in the West Bank died on Sunday of his wounds, police said.Binyamin Yakobovich was badly hurt on November 4 when a Palestinian assailant rammed into him at the Halhul junction, near Hebron.

• South Carolina: Taylors man struck and killed loading tow truck on I-85

  The S.C. Highway Patrol said a man died at a hospital after a collision on Thursday night. Lance Cpl. Bill Rhyne said the collision occurred on Interstate 85 northbound near mile marker 60 around 6:30 p.m.
