Oklahoma Police Officer Killed In Crash After Pushing Man To Safety
An off-duty Department of Defense and Nolanville reserve police officer died in a highway crash Tuesday night, moments after he pushed another man out of the path of an oncoming car.

One Firefighter Killed and Another Critically Injured in Struck By
Officials this afternoon have revealed the identity of the Columbia firefighter who died Saturday after being struck by a car while responding to a brush fire on I-20. The firefighter named was Chance Hyatt Zobel, 23, a three-year veteran of the fire department with Engine Co. No. 4 stationed at Spears Creek Church Road.

South Carolina Firefighter Struck and Killed
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts along with Interim Columbia Fire Chief Aubrey Jenkins said Sunday that Chance Hyatt Zobel was the Columbia-Richland Firefighter who lost his life in the line of duty. Another firefighter remains in critical condition after a vehicle accident on I-20 Saturday afternoon. Firefighter Larry Kewon Irvin was also struck and is in critical condition at a local hospital.

Pennsylvania Worker Struck, Killed By SUV In York County
A worker was struck and killed by a vehicle in York Township Friday morning. The accident happened at a Columbia Gas work site in the 2400 block of South George Street, police said. An Isuzu Trooper struck the flagman. George Waltemyer, 85, was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
