  A Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy who stood out for his youthful energy, despite being one of the older recruits to join the force, died Friday afternoon October 24, four years after a car struck him, sending him into a long-term coma. He was 44.

• Pennsylvania Officer Struck and Killed While Investigating Accident

  A Northern York Regional police officer (PA) was reportedly struck by a passing motorist and killed this morning (October 21) on U.S. 15, while attempting to reconstruct a fatal accident which occurred Sunday.

• Indiana Deputy Dies from Struck-By Injuries

  A Monroe County, Indiana deputy died Sunday afternoon after she was struck by a vehicle while on duty Friday night.
