LOS ANGELES - Around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, a tow truck driver was fatally struck by another car as he was tending to a disabled car on the I-5 Freeway in Griffith Park near the 134 Freeway at Zoo Drive.

Paramedics pronounced the tow truck driver, Presiliano Chavez, 41, dead at the scene.

The 33-year-old woman who stuck Chavez with her 2012 Nissan Versa, and the disabled motorist remained at the scene.

Neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be determining factors in the crash and there was no indication that the driver who stuck Chavez was taken into custody.
