DILLON COUNTY, S.C. — The family of a tow truck operator killed in a hit and run Sunday on I-95 North near mile marker 195 in Dillon County is urging anyone with information to come forward to bring them closure during this tough time.
"He was no better than a deer. Or he was no better than a dog beside the road. And at this point, we just want that closure. Because it would bring peace knowing that somebody has taken responsibility," said Namon Bullard.
The driver was 48-year-old Steven Bullard, who was working for Mitchell's Towing in Robeson County when he got the call to head to I-95 to tow a car.
Authorities said they're looking for a 2004-2007 Volvo VNL that is white in color. However, they said it may have previously been green.
