Florida:Firefighter, 41, Dies in the Lone of Duty After Being Struck by Logging Truck at Crash Scene
We regret to pass on that an Escambia Fire Rescue Firefighter has died in the Line of Duty after being struck by a log truck while at the scene of a fatal motorcycle crash early Wednesday morning. He has been identified as Chief Dwain S.Bradshaw. He was the district chief at the Bellview Fire Station and the assistant chief at the Beulah Fire Station. Chief Bradshaw was among those that responded to the 0350 hours crash at the Muscogee Bridge across the Perdido River at the Alabama/Florida state line. During a secondary crash at the bridge, an 18-wheeler log truck struck the Chief. Chief Bradshaw was airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The log truck came to rest on its side in a wooded area; the driver was not believed to be seriously injured. More to follow. Our condolences to all those affected. Rest In Peace.
