Virginia: FIREFIGHTER KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY, 2 OTHER FIREFIGHTERS SERIOUS AFTER BEING STRUCK ON VIRGINIA INTERSTATE
It is with deep regret that we pass on that one Firefighter (Lieutenant) has been killed in the Line of Duty and two others were injured, after a tractor trailer struck their fire apparatus in Virginia.
Hanover County Fire and EMS (near Richmond) was operating at a crash scene on I-295 South, near exit 38, around 2100 hours last night (Thursday) when a tractor trailer rear-ended the fire apparatus during bad weather conditions, One Lieutenant was killed and the other Firefighters have serious injuries. The tractor trailer driver had to extricated and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The Firefighter killed in the Line of Duty, at the scene of the crash, was Lieutenant Brad Clark from Station 6, Hanover County Fire and EMS. Our sincere condolences to the family, friends and his Hanover County family on the tragic loss of Lieutenant Brad Clark. More to follow
