Ohio: Tow truck Driver Killed on Ohio Turnpike
A crash closed the eastbound lanes of the Ohio Turnpike Monday for the second time in just two hours after another vehicle hit a semi involved in the earlier crash. A tow truck driver was killed in a crash on the Ohio Turnpike Monday while assisting a driver with a disabled vehicle. According to Ohio Turnpike officials, the two truck driver was pulled over on the Turnpike in Summit County hooking up the disabled vehicle when he was struck by a semi-truck.
The crash happened in the eastbound lanes of the Turnpike in the city of Hudson. One eastbound lane is currently closed in the area. The Summit County Medical Examiner confirms they were called to the scene around 9 a.m.
