LOS ANGELES POLICE OFFICER KILLED IN
A Los Angeles police officer and father of two was killed early Sunday when he was struck by a car while investigating a crash in the Los Feliz area, authorities said. The driver of the car that hit Officer Landon Dorris has not been charged with a crime, said Officer Mike Lopez.Dorris, 31, of the LAPD's Northeast division, was outside his squad car at the scene of a minor traffic collision at about 1:20 a.m. when he was struck, Lopez said. Dorris was taken to USC Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead from major head injuries.
