Where We Are Today
As I traveled through Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. Every time that I saw emergency lights up ahead of me on the side of the road, I saw the truck drivers slowing down and moving rapidly to the left as they approached the vehicles.

Time to be Vigilant
I was reminded again the other evening of the need for all emergency response people to remain vigilant when they are operating at the scene of an emergency. As is my way, I was out on the front porch enjoying a mild summer’s evening, along with one of my favorite cigars, when the pager on my belt came to life, informing me of an emergency call for the Adelphia Fire Company. Imagine my surprise when the dispatcher gave out an address which was right across the street from my home.

A Cross by the Side of the Road
During a couple of really interesting days, I have spent a great deal of time traveling south on interstate 95. I drove from New Jersey to Florida in order to play my tuba with a number of my circus music buddies in Bradenton. As it turned out, I picked the correct days to travel south. I had a great first day making terrific time from Adelphia to Wilson, North Carolina.

We Are Having a Great Year
It is my distinct pleasure to report that things here in the Respondersafety.com world simply could not be better. We are in the midst of what may be one of our most successful years. New programs continue to be developed, our reach is growing and our ability to train new highway safety people continues to improve.

There's a Chill in the Air
I awoke this morning to note that once again there was frost to be found on the pumpkin on my front porch. As I went out on the porch to retrieve my morning papers, I quickly confirmed that it was indeed chilly. After reading the first paper I repaired to my office to post a number of new items to our Respondersafety.com website.
