North Carolina: Suspects hit officer with car, led police on chase that ended in Charlotte
Three people are in custody after police chase that started in Greece and ended on Stutson Street in Charlotte. Police tell us the chase started when they responded to a menacing call. In the process, an officer was struck by the suspect's car.
Just after 2 p.m., Greece police say they responded to a report on Vintage Lane from a woman claiming she was pushed to the ground by three people who then pointed guns at her. Greece police say when officers arrived they noticed one car leaving the scene. When an officer approached the car, the three suspects -- one woman, two men -- took off. That's when the officer was hit with the car.
The chase ended on Stutson Street just down the block from a tattoo shop. We talked to the shop's owner who told us this kind of thing is not out of the norm.
